We had a wonderful long weekend at Halfway House.It was ideal situated just outside Ambleside but with easy access to activities, shops and restaurants.The house was old but beautifully renovated and kept. The comfort of the beds stood out!! The bathrooms were lovely and apart from fairly low pressured showers were great. We enjoyed the garden and outside areas between the showers!

Had an amazing break at Half Way cottage. The rooms were comfy and the facilities were spot on. Enjoyed kayaking &
Positive: The property was amazing in such a beautiful location and had all we needed for our stay. The fact we could access the river from the garden was such a bonus.

Negative: Its a long walk with no pavement into the nearest village so you really have to drive.
