Premium price, very disappointing standards Negative: At almost £250 per night, we expected a premium standard of accommodation, particularly given how beautifully the apartment was presented in the property photographs. Unfortunately, what we found on arrival was a very different experience. Our four-night booking cost £985.73, including a £126 cleaning fee. We found litter around the exterior, loose cabling, dirty entrance areas, debris in the dining chairs, stained carpets and numerous marked or damaged surfaces throughout the apartment. We attempted to clean some areas ourselves but ultimately left on the day of arrival without staying overnight. We contacted Laik the following morning, with three nights still remaining. Disappointingly, no practical offer was made to inspect, clean or rectify the apartment so we could return and salvage our holiday. Instead, we were directed to Booking.com. After considerable correspondence, the property refused any refund. At this price, both the accommodation standards and the response when things went wrong were deeply disappointing. Excellent choice Positive: Property was clean, spacious and the location was perfect. The staff are very friendly and helpful with sending guidebooks about be property and area which was very helpful Negative: -

Very stylish 2-bed, 2-bathroom apartment in centre of Ambleside Positive: Very comfortable and stylish apartment in centre of Ambleside, metres from restaurants and bus stop, which made exploring the region easy. Also loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Negative: I may be techno-challenged but found it very annoying thst we couldn't turn on the TV to watch the news. The only option is to stream through your device, which I managed to accomplish after numerous texts to my son in Australia. Parking is close by, but you need to follow the directions carefully to find the entrance to the carpark.
