Central location but not ideal for young families Positive: The flat is situated in a great position in Grasmere, right in the centre and next to a playground too. The parking permit provided is very helpful. Overall it was pretty clean and the beds, sofas etc are all comfortable. The host responds really quickly to messages which we appreciated. Negative: A big downside is the noise from the restaurant below. It is closed Sunday and Monday night, but on the Tuesday night it was very loud and kept the children awake. It was meant to close at 9pm but the music and noise continued until after 10pm. This makes it difficult to recommend to others with children or who want a quiet evening. Also it's important to note that the staircase up to the flat is incredibly steep metal stairs with a difficult rail for children to hold.

Positive: Delightful and comfortable holiday apartment. Tastefully and thoughtfully furnished. Great having two bathrooms ( both showers worked well when in use at the same time)! Lovely extras: tea, coffee, salt and pepper, oil, dishwasher tabs, loo roll and toiletries. Thank you for another enjoyable stay in beautiful Grasmere. Yes, there are metal steps leading up to the apartment but they are outlined in the description and are safe with handrails and good lighting. We had a little radio music drift up from the restaurant below but it was short lived and didnt inconvenience us in any way. Bonus to have one parking permit.
