Oakbank-Central Grasmere

Great apartment in a beautiful village. Positive: Very comfortable apartment with everything we needed. Clean and tidy with modern furnishings and lots of space. Negative: Was a little hard to find as there is no sign on the main street - for reference, it is above the pharmacy and Lewis's Bistro near the CO-OP.

We loved staying in Grasmere. The apartment location was The apartment however needs a good c Positive: Location, space, layout of the apartment and facilities were good. The bathrooms, bedrooms, linen etc were clean. Oven was spotless. The huge bath was great for a soak after long walks. The car park permit was also great. Negative: The kitchen cupboards, fridge needed a deep clean. The outside area was dirty. There were loads of cobwebs (that had been there for ages) around the front door. We sat outside on a few occasions but had to look at dirty eaves that had not been cleaned for months/years. The patio windows were also very dirty. The shower in the main bathroom didn’t get hot it was only warm. Several minor maintenance repairs were needed: Hook hanging off bathroom door, curtain hooks broken, picture/mirrors taken down and screws still left in the wall.

Lovely comfortable apartment in a great setting. Would stay again. Positive: Excellent location, lovely apartment with great views. V comfortable and good size for a family of four. Great customer service. Negative: Very minor issues rectified immediately including additional kitchen items.
