Owd Pegs Cottage-Traditional Cottage in the centre

Cosy cottage in the heart of Bowness Positive: This is a charming cottage right in the middle of Bowness, a five-minute walk from the lake. It's a thin house but deceptively large inside – a roomy top floor with en suite, two bedrooms and one bathroom on the middle floor, and an open plan living room/kitchen/diner on the ground floor with another full bathroom. We thought it might be a bit tight for our party of six (five adults, one child) but it really wasn't. Everything was in good order and the host agency provided a very helpful guidebook to the cottage and the local area. There's no parking on site, but there's a large and reasonably priced car park about a five-minute walk away. We'd definitely stay here again. Negative: All good!

Apart from safe outdoor space for dog it was lovely cottage in excellent central location. Positive: Location. Cleanliness Negative: No enclosed outdoor area for dog. Wrongly assumed that rear courtyard was an enclosed dog proof space. It is an open patio area onto back lane

Memorable Positive: We had such a wonderful stay! The house is absolutely beautiful, immaculate, and very welcoming. My family really enjoyed our time here and felt right at home. The host was warm and thoughtful, and provided very clear and helpful instructions, which made everything so easy and smooth. We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again. Highly recommended!
