Pickle Pot Loft- 2 bedroom apartment in Hawkshead

Great Location Positive: Location, couldn't be more central. Very comfortable beds, big walk in shower. Lots of lights ,cushions, seating upstairs very bright. The facilities in the kitchen are very good. Good size fridge freezer. Washer & Dryer. The front bedroom TV is above the huge bath, looks like a mirror, we didn't find it for 2 days. 😂 Double glazing works well . Negative: WiFi hit & miss, The furniture in the living area is 2 chairs & the smallest sofa suitable for children but not adults. Probably the only one that would fit up the stairs.. More footstools required. Would have liked to open the right hand window in the front bedroom, it's painted shut.

Great Base for outdoor activities but person specific Positive: The property has been superbly renovated. It has everything you need. Great checking in process and very receptive owners. Negative: It’s about fit rather than didn’t like. The property is top heavy, fabulous bedrooms on top floor but with a really small sitting room kitchen on first floor. No real outlook from any of the rooms and no outdoor space. The sitting room couch was really small and bijou possibly due to accessibility issues. Hawkshead is quaint but really tired and we were there on a really sunny weekend so other than sitting in the pub it felt really restrictive. Feedback on cleanliness as although clean there was some attention to detail that was missing. Not a problem generally but based on what we paid for 3 nights plus extra for the dog felt not value for money and we actually left a day early.

Homely, well kept and comfortable. Positive: Lovely well kept apartment, all the facilities we needed while staying in Hawkshead. Have to say the beds were excellent! Negative: The low ceilings on the second floor, however not a real problem you just have to remember to keep your head low if you get up in the night.

Positive: Lovely apartment. Clean neat and great location. We were a family of 4 (teen girls) and we were very comfortable. The board games & puzzles were excellent additions. Would highly recommend Pickle Pot to anyone.
